Meeting of PRECA key experts to discuss project plans for Phase 1 and 2

PRECA Project's key experts - Team Leader Andrew Proudlove, Technical Key Expert Nigel Lightfoot, Food Safety Expert Jackie Gibney, Water Safety Expert John Haley, Chemical Incidents and Poison Information Centers Expert Raquel Duarte-Davidson, Public Health C3 Expert Mark Salter and ISTC Excecutive Director David Cleave met on 29-30 July 2021 in London, UK, to discuss action plan for project's Phase 1 (first 6 months) and Phase 2 (36 months). 

A needs and gaps analyisis is being carried out in 6 Partner Countries and out of that analysis will bring about procurement of equipment and suitable training and exercises to upskill countries to ensure that they will have the capacity to deal with mass gathering situations that will support preparedness, risk management, and crisis coordination and informing public health authorities about relevant events which may need coordination of measures at regional level, as well as to foster a common understanding of the needs and challenges of Partner Countiries, to increase security, peace and prosperity in the region.
