In Uzbekistan, the Second National Training 'Ensuring Food Safety for Mass Events' was held within the framework of the P87 PRECA Project "Preparedness and Response for Mass Gatherings and other Health Threats in Central Asia". The project is implemented by the International Science and Technology Center.
On May 16-17, 2023, a training was held at the Republican State Center for the Diagnosis of Animal Diseases and Food Safety in Tashkent. A total of 35 participants, including food manufacturers, delivery specialists, food sellers, and laboratory specialists involved in food quality testing, took part in the training.
The first day of the training was opened by the Director of the Republican State Center for the Diagnosis of Animal Diseases and Food Safety, Mr. Bakhriddin Tangyarikov.
The Training was held by a doctor of medical sciences, professor of the Department of Hygiene of the Center for the Development of Professional Qualifications of Medical Personnel of the Ministry of Health, Ph.D. Anatoly Khudoyberganov and by an organizer of the Training Mr. Alisher Akhadov with a presentation on the topic "The principle of "field to table" in ensuring the food safety".
It was made a visit to the laboratories of the Republican State Center for the Diagnosis of Animal Diseases and Food Safety as well. The participants had a closer look at the equipment in the laboratories.
The international P87 project expert on Food Safety Dr. Ms. Jackie Gibney's presentation on "Technical items used to ensure safety in the processes of production, sale and transportation of food products" was held online.
Certificates were handed over to the participants at the end of the training.
