Dr. Mark Salter, PRECA Public Health C3 expert met with C3 team of Uzbekistan on 12 December 2022 in Tashkent to discuss work package equipment list and national training workshops that are planned in 2023. 

 C3 team from Uzbekistan was represented by Prof. Dr. Damir Zaredinov, Ministry of Health of Uzbekistan, Mr. Botirjon Kurbanov, Sanitary and Epidemiological Welfare and Public Health Service, and Ms. Nigora Akhmadalieva, Tashkent Medical Academy.

The meeting was also attended by Mr. Otabek Kasimov, Uzbekistan NFP, Ms. Nargiz Usmanova, UNICRI regional coordinator for Central Asia, and Mr. Jasurjon Ibragimov, team assistant of the EU CBRN CoE Regional Secretariat for CA. 

During the meeting C3 team discussed list of equipment and materials that Uzbekistan C3 team should prepare based on gaps and needs of the country. After this list is prepared and approved by EU CBRN CoE NFP in Uzbekistan, ISTC will start procurement of items under equipment budget of the project.  

Another point of discussion was national training workshops, that C3 experts from Uzbekistan should organize and deliver for public health experts by using knowledge they received during Train the Trainer Workshop on 4-8 April of 2022 in Tashkent. 

Dr. Mark Salter and C3 team of Uzbekistan agreed to continue cooperation and to work on project objectives within C3 Working Group meetings.
